Violaine Bonny has a BA in Social and Cultural Anthropology and an MA in Archaeology from the University Lumière Lyon 2 (which included an exchange year with the University of Western Ontario in Canada).

She also has an MA in Biological Anthropology of the University of Aix-Marseille and is now employed by the Archaeological Service of the City of Nice for emergency excavations.
