Margarita Nazou has just received a ‘Move-in-Louvain’ incoming post-doctoral fellowship for her project: ‘Underground Mycenaeans: the archaeology of the prehistoric mining community of Thorikos (Attica, Greece)’.
She is also an honorary post-doctoral fellow of Ghent University and is responsible for the study and publication of the prehistoric pottery from the Thorikos Archaeological Survey. Her PhD thesis at the Institute of Archaeology (University College London) titled ‘Defining the regional characteristics of Final Neolithic and Early Bronze Age pottery in Attica’ was funded by the Greek State Scholarships Foundation and the A.G. Leventis Foundation.
She has excavated at the Cycladic islands of Andros, Ios and Keros and has also participated in survey projects in Knossos and Kea; she is responsible for the study and publication of the Neolithic pottery from the Kea Archaeological Research Survey.
