Ann Aertssen has an MA in Archaeology. She worked as a field laboratory supervisor on the excavations of Palaikastro, Malia and Knossos. She currently an administrator at the University of Antwerp.

She was responsible for the logistics in the Sissi Apothiki during the 2007 and 2008 campaigns and is currently student counselor at the University of Antwerp, Faculty for Social Sciences.
