Afroditi Chalkidi is an architect engineer, member of the Technical Chamber of Greece.

She holds a Master in Preservation and restoration of architectural monuments of the Faculty of Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh). She worked as Architect engineer at the 9th Ephorate (Ephoreia) of Byzantine Antiquities, Thessaloniki, Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

She has worked at Zominthos, Akrotiri-Thera, Panormos on Naxos etc. and has published several papers on the conservation and restoration of ancient monuments.
